Kuh - Zsa Zsa Rivalry
Extends to the Daughters

MANILA, Aug. 16 (Sunstar) - It was a clear afternoon when we
dropped by Kuh Ledesma’s posh Republic of Malate along Mabini
for our scheduled one-on-one interview.
This was already the “re-scheduled” meeting as the first one
was canceled unobtrusively because of Kuh’s “make-up reasons.”
At last, she was already prepared and all set for our Q and A.
The first question that we threw at the pop diva was not
really a question, but her opinion and advice about the turn of
events in her close friend Regine Velasquez’s life lately.
“Actually, hindi namin napapag-usapan ‘yan ni Regine du’n sa
mga time na nakakapagkuwentuhan kami. As her friend, nararamdaman
Pero what
I can say is dumarating talaga sa buhay ng tao ‘yung mararamdaman
the pop diva said.
The second issue is the line-up of the much awaited “Best Of
Manila” concert wherein she used to be part of the line-up of
artists.
“Nagkataon siguro na iba ang gusto nilang theme this time and
I had my time na makasali sa ganyan kalaking klase ng event, kaya
I know how it feels.
ngayon dahil I have a wonderful family.
explained.
The rivalry between Kuh and Zsa Zsa Padilla is never-ending,
thus, it extends to their equally talented daughters who are now in
their early teens: Kuh’s Isabella and Zsa Zsa’s Karylle, who is now
making her own name in the latest stage production of “The Little
Mermaid.”
Knowing Isabella is also a performer and an actress like her
mom so, what are her plans for her daughter?
“Naku naman, pati pala mga anak namin, extension na ng intriga
ngayon. Sa ngayon, mas gusto ko na maging priority ni Isabella
‘yung studies niya. Kahit naman paano naire-release niya rin ‘yung
pagiging artist niya sa pagpe-paint and active din naman siya sa
mga stage plays nila sa school.”
She also revealed her plans for her upcoming “live” album
which will be taken from her concert series happening all weekends
of September at her Republic of Malate. Joining Kuh in this series
are Arnel Ignacio, Wency Cornejo and a whole lot more, with the
surprise participation of her daughter Isabella (who says she’s not
active anymore?).
But the catch here is, Kuh is not revealing if this new album
will still be released under Viva Records.
Kuh is also interested in directing concerts but doesn’t want
to reveal the name of artists with whom she wants to share her
ideas, for he or she may not be interested with the plan. But given
the right time, the pop diva is very much interested in sharing her
ideas specially with the concert scene that is getting active again
these days.
She’s also planning a major concert before the end of the
year, thus putting her back on the top where she once belonged.
We believe that Kuh Ledesma is a major part of the local music
scene. Her talent must further be explored and she must not stop
and be contented in the four corners of her Republic.
