Basil and Kuh :
The Power of Two

Right now, Basil Valdez and Kuh Ledesma are in the US for a concert tour aptly billed as “The Power of Two” and surely their fans there will be thrilled to see them perform live for them.

Diva Kuh Ledesma is excited to be sharing the stage once more with Basil, the country’s most loved balladeer. This is their first team-up after a long time, the last being in the late ’80s with the very successful “Socorro Bakit Mo Inaawitan si Basilio?” at the Manila Hotel. Since then there had been a big clamor to showcase Kuh and Basil in one concert, and after a long wait, it is finally happening.

Their tour kicked off in Seattle yesterday (Aug. 17) at the Meany Hall. The next leg of their tour is in Los Angeles (on Aug. 23) at the Grand Olympic Auditorium. They’ll be in San Diego on Aug. 24 (at the San Diego Concourse Hall), and finally in Reno on Aug. 31 at the City Center Pavillion.

The repertoire for “The Power of Two” US tour includes the artists’ respective memorable Filipino hit songs. Definitely, a powerhouse performance is expected of both artists who will also be singing Broadway classics, love songs and current pop hits.

After this concert series in the US, can the fans of Basil and Kuh expect a repeat of their show in the country? We certainly hope so...
