Regine Velasquez : 
The GIRL with the PLATINUM Touch

One of the most famous characters in Greek mythology is King Midas because 
of his ability to transform everything into gold with his touch. Our very 
own Regine Velasquez seems to possess the same powers as she turns 
everything she touches into platinum.

Her debut album under Viva Music Group Inc. Drawn has gone double platinum 
and R2K is currently enjoying has reached quadruple platinum status. In 
2000, Regine released two albums—Kailangan Ko’y Ikaw that turned double 
platinum and the platinum chart-topper Regine Live…Songbird Sings the 
Classics.

Mother of All from Viva’s the Servant of All series is also a certified 
platinum with Regine’s voice behind it’s highly successful carrier single 
Mary Most Holy, Mother of All.

What is it about this girl that makes her virtually the best-selling female 
recording artist today? Could it be her unearthly voice and stunning stage 
persona? Others might say it’s 15 years of hard work mixed with a very 
loving heart.

Regine attributes her success to her fans who never ceased to support her 
in the last 15 years. Regine thanks them by capping the year with a big 
concert at the Yñares Center in Antipolo City on December 30, 2000. The 
extravaganza is dubbed Regine Live Sa Antipolo.

The concert is produced by Viva Concerts, the same production company 
behind her R2K, the Concert which was held last summer.
